must have been a misunderstanding, crystal does rotate w/ bezel.
pls describe what "noise", which hands rotate, are you talking about normal operation, or w/ chrono engaged, or when setting it ?

Thanks, that clears that bit up, the noise is normal operation, as the second hand moves around it makes a ticking metalic sound, although it sweeps. Perhaps the movement?

Probably is genuine, can hear like a 'ratchet' sound as soon as it has movement. Rotor I'm presuming?

There is no doubt this is genuine. really. honestly. swear.
The 7750 does have rather strange rotor sounds. yes. it does tick, even if the hand sweeps, this IS the movement.

Sorry, but 15010 should be the serial number of a Crosswind

Thomas, that number might be incorrect, but the watch is clearly authentic,
these are quite early "New Breitling" pieces, how far back does the database go ?

have the same 13019 in front of me (although w/o the old model no.),
numbers are not too legible, can you check 15937 and 15932 for me, please ?

According to the service tracker, 15937 is a Chronomat GT and 15932 is a Crosswind. I am not sure, but maybe, they have used the numbers twice? Once with the old number system and once with the new system?

this is what I thought, as we are talking about late 1980s, early 1990s;
they definitely have produced much more that 99,999 watches since
then, so the numbers must be reused !

have got out my magnifying glass and can assure you that 15932 is an Old Navitimer I !

Well I have some rather odd news. I had an accident the other week and slightly damaged the watch, so I took it to timpsons here in the uk. The sent it for repair to an authorised repair agent. I had a phone call today and so I went in to see if they had fixed it. Apparently it couldn't be fixed as it is non genuine, by the Breitling repair agents themselves, apparently I'm lucky it wasnt confiscated. I'm now trying to get my money back, how could I be so stupid eh.

Could be. I have to admit I did think it was genuine. Timpsons said they can't repair them so would send it to a Breitling repairer, I guess they know the ins and outs, probably checking serial numbers and all.

Timpsons, the high street chain of cobblers!? Surely not, I wouldn't trust them with a pair of my brogues let alone a Breitling. As others as said, the watch is genuine.

Could you please post a photo of a watch in your possession?
As been stated before, watch on the auction photos is real.
If you have fake, seller switched them.

There already are, see my post on first page for photos.

Hi ade, I know, I don't know many repairers in here in York. I trust them I guess, they sent the watch to a breitling repairer so, they must be right.
