Get rid of the cartoonish sized neon arrow hand and use either a subregister with separate hour/minte hands or what was a very elegant option with the longitude--a slightly colorized hour hand you could hide behind the main hour hand when you don't need it.

I wasn't familiar with the Longitude. I like the one with arabic hour markers (on that version the GMT hand isn't a different color but has a small lume disc). If one were looking to buy one of these used, hypothetically speaking, anything particular to that model to look out for?

There are a couple out there. The Longitude is essentially the old Chronomat 40 (or some say 39.5)mm model. I have seen bezels with the 24 hour bezel scale, and maybe others without. Check the resource here on the mail site and you'll see the photo. It hasn't been made for several years but has an additional hour hand which runs underneath the normal hour hand unless you want to use it for a second time zone. It can then be set to whatever time you want. Different coloration for the lume is used to distinguish them.

If you go back further to the 90s, a couple versions of the Astromat had a similar gmt function except the gmt hand had a different shape. The Astromat had a completely different bezel, closer to that on the Shark that Sharkman just had serviced and redone prominently displayed in the What Watch Are You Wearing thread. Go in the watch model section of the main BS index and they are under the windrider series. I need to see what I think of that size nowadays but if my next watch is a Breitling, one of these may be it.

Others here may have specific thoughts on issues with the watches or what to look out for, but I believe they run on modified etas. Biggest thing I see when I look for them is lume deterioration.

Scott - thanks for the information.

I just found the photo of Shark's shark. Really like that bezel.

For me it's a TOC, however, I would like a white/silver with similar sub-dials, like their limited version. I just don't know how I feel about the gray sub-dials on the white face. I just would like a different braclet for the TOC, instead of mesh.

I feel like Breitling is heading in the right direction, however, the prices are really increasing rapidly!

Here we go. This would be my absolute dream Breitling. Even though it's not designed by me.

I like the color from the Unitime!

My dreamwatch would definitely be vintage! One from the 50's or 60's..

Don't have to learn. But as a classic timepiece and as a dress watch rose gold is hard to beat. At least IMO.

The steel model runs at £8 600 RRP. So…
