Since there are all these members here from around the world, has anyone purchased a Breitling in Monaco? I'm heading to Nice at the end of May and I plan on visiting Monte Carlo. Since Breitling has it's authorized retailer / dealer there I was curious if anyone made a purchase and could fill me in on how the prices are there? I've contacted the AD there to get a price quote but it would still be interesting if someone had info first hand.

I have no specific info to give, but I'm pretty sure you'd be highly unlikely to find anywhere in the world where they are probably less likely to discount!

Hah! Yeah I guess you're quite right in your statement.

They just sent me the retail prices for all Super Avengers even though I sent them a specific configuration for the watch I'd like to order. But I'll ignore that and wait for the discounted price to arrive.

I'm not sure anyone reads this post but it'll stay here if somebody sometime needs to figure out how prices in Monaco are. I'll update with the prices I get for the specific model. It'll be some sort of indicator and since they're the only AD in the country we'll have a good knowledge base.

They don't buy watches there, but get them from numerous gambling transactions.

Just in!

Received a price quote for a Super Avenger, black dial w. batons(index markers) and steel bracelet.

€4 640 which is €30 more than RRP. Good one.

Does the RRP you saw include VAT? If I take the price here in Switzerland, back out the Swiss VAT, convert to Euro and then apply the Monaco VAT, I get 4917 Euro. So 4640 doesn't seem so bad.

Hahaha that's bad. I got a quote on the SA for €3 500 delivered to me personally. That is a good price.

Edit: The above is for a brand new watch from an AD.
