What-ho chaps. Been a bit of a Breitling fan for a decade or so but only had a real one for the past year or so. Yes, I bought a beautiful Crosswing from the dreaded eBay about 8 years ago for quite a bit of money and then found after a couple of years that it was a fake  Was so upset I gave it away to a friend who I told it was a fake but he doesn't care and wears it proudly. Once I knew it was a phoney, I just couldn't wear it anymore :?

Anyway, last year I bought a Colt from "Watchfinders" and it's proved to be a lovely watch, if a little small. Anyway, my dearly beloved got into watches as well and started lusting after the Colt so I gave it to her (after an "extended loan period  ") for her birthday and bought myself a superOcean Pro (A17345) which I adore and have rarely had off my wrist since the day it arrived... also from "Watchfinders". Had a bit of a problem with it losing 20 seconds a day and sent it back to them and they had it serviced for me free of charge, and it now keeps perfect time... well, to within a second or two a day, which is pretty bloody good.

So far only got the Breitling rubber strap but on the look-out for a bracelet (my wifes has a bracelet - I feel hard done by  ) and more Breitling watches.

I only started collecting watches back in June last year and now have about thirty watches - quite a few of them vintage pieces (Sully, MuDu, Roamer, Timex) that I have restored and got running, and also a few new watches including my "Grail" an Omega Speedmaster Pro that I bought for my own Christmas present from Goldsmiths in December.

Also got a couple of Steinharts, a vintage Tudor solid gold "Prince" and loads of mid range watches.

Unfortunately, having hit the heady heights of thirty eight watches in six months I realised it was time to consolidate a bit and sold a few moderns and gave away a couple of others and I intend to collect Omegas, Rolex and Breitlings from now on... as and when funds allow as I'm not overly well endowed in the wallet department :D

Anyway, nice to find your forum after using the "source" for information for months, didn't realise there was a forum attached as I am a notoriously thick bugger  Good to meet you all.

Thanks for the welcome, just placed my first "Help" thread - I fear it won't be my last  Just contemplating selling most of my "lesser" brands to acquire another :lingsrock: as all I really seem to wear is my Omegas and the B'ling with occasional forays into vintage. Not going to sell the old girls as I'm rather fond of those but the modern stuff just doesn't seem to get any wrist time anymore.

I'm begining to wonder if I'm just a "brand snob"
