Everything that I have is 42mm to 45mm.. I have a little over 7 1/2 wrist. I think that is the sweet spot for me. I have had the bigger 50+mm watches but they were very uncomfortable for me.

I have not measured my wrist since the last time i measured my dick and im pretty sure trying to wrap my ruler around my wrist would snap it. Its been a while.

Wrist size means nothing, overall body size, sure. I'm 6'3 and 225lbs. Nothing but my SA and 6.75 for me,but even if i was 3 apples tall,i dont think that choice would be any different. Personal taste is what it is,who cares what anyone thinks.

Going back and forth between a 40mm GMT and a 44mm Pam (wears way bigger than that with the crown guard and case height) these days and the Rollie seems a tad small, though I'm sort of used to that in Rolexes, the last Oyster having been a 36mm from the 70ies. So I suppose it depends on the identity of the watch. Then again I consciously decided against a 47mm Pam at the time when I purchased the 351 because the 47mm was a real battleship on the wrist. So there is a bit of a limit to it after all... For me that is...

I'm with Roff... I can swap between different sizes without any trouble, as long as I love the watch. For me the overall "effect" outweighs the size thing. By that I refer to certain factors like, say, the height/width ratio, the fit of the bracelet or strap against the case, the way it fits against the back of my wrist, dial size and crystal shape, etc. Most of my watches are in the 43-44mm range, but I've got several 47-48 watches and I'm currently looking at a few in the 40mm range. For example, a SubC wears so nice at 40mm, but for some reason my Omega Broad Arrow didn't... it looked too spindly on the bracelet, whereas the new fat lugs on the Sub give it, in my opinion, more balance.

Ultimately I think anyone who loves watches will end up with a good variety... it's unlikely for me at this stage to have "one true, ultimate watch" that I could wear all the time. Sometimes I want a big chunk of steel on my wrist and I pick a SuperAvenger or Panerai on bracelet, and other times I want something more sleek and light. I wish I COULD find just one watch and wear the hell out of it, but that's not happening.

Sorry for dragging up this old thread... I'm just going through some of these posts for the first time.

Cheers guys

Ross

What most of us would refer to as a "clock." :wowzers

Measuring tape and calipers, my friend. Rulers are for amateurs.

I might wear 44mm Chronomat one day which looks massive on my wrist and 36mm Chinese Airforce Reissue watch another day.
Neither however looks out off place on my wrist, both look equally nice to me despite the size and where they came from. I like them both and that's what it is all about ;-)
