Hello all,

I'm from Portugal, and I contacted the local representation in order to have a full revision/restauration of an old 1969 CHRONO-MATIC.
The watch is not even working.
They sent me a 1850€ budget, that I'm told it's very exaggerated.
The question is: Where could I get an alternative watchmaker to ask for a price, or what would be the best course of action, given the situation?

Thank you in advance,
Rui

Many of our European members use a member of this site in the US - chronodeco (Craig). Just spend a few minutes here and you will see many, many examples of his work. Don't let the distance put you off as other Europeans will attest it is well worth it.

Welcome to BreitlignSource.

ok, friends, laughing is good, but what about helping that new
member from Portugal, who was/is close to being taken for a ride
by Breitling Switzerland and paying amost $2,500 for servicing
and polishing his ref. 2110 !

suggestions regarding competent watchmakers, US or UK, please !

OK Fred......  Sorry rmariani - too much work drove the little devil inside to the outside for a little while

Other than Craig, there is a UK watchmaker who members have recommended in the past - no personal experience, blah, blah, blah, but:
