I purchased my first Breitling 2 weeks ago after admiring them for a couple of years. Was i ever disappointed, it could not maintain the accurate time. I sent the watch back and am even more disappointed with customer service. My opinion of Breitling is now terrible, i would never suggest anyone purchase one and I regret I did.

Welcome aboard.
You are familiar with mechanical watches accuracy and COSC, I suppose?

A bit more information might help here.

What's the model? Quartz or mechanical? What sort of lack of accuracy are we talking? 5 seconds a day or 50 seconds a day? What happened with the customer service?

Give us some more info and we can let you know if your watch genuinely has a problem, or if it's within normal parameters and you are just unfamiliar with mechanical watches.

Or did you just join to vent?

Joseph, although I welcome you to B-Source, I have to ask: what is the point of your post? You have not told us the kind of time the watch was maintaining, or that you even understand what "accurate" means within the context of a mechanical watch. You haven't even told us the model you purchased. As for service, you have not bothered to explain to us what was so poor about the service you received, or who was responsible for it (e.g., dealer, BUSA, etc.). If you have questions, please ask them; perhaps we can help. If you're here to tell us a few things, you should have saved yourself the trouble. We've heard it all before.

Edit: In other words, what Driver8 said.

What Jackson said makes sense too, so maybe you should reconsider and agree with what he said.

the model is Galactic 41 Trophy purchased at Venetzia Fine Jewelry in Vegas. The first day it was off 10 minutes after 24 hours and after wearing it for a week it never got any better. I returned it to the store for service and they returned it to Breitling. I did call Breitling service and got no help in finding out the status. You would thing that Breitling service would set an exceptional status for customer satisfaction and protecting their reputation. One dissatisfied customer can cost them several sales and damage their reputation.

OK, now we are getting somewhere. Was it gaining 10 minutes a day or losing?

If it was gaining then that may be a slight magnetism issue, if it was losing then it may well have been stopping and starting - may be nothing more than a low power reserve. 10 minutes is too much of a time variance for it to be a 'normal' regulation issue. Did BUSA service give you any indication of what was happening - presumably they didn't just say 'go away' so must have said something???

losing 10, it was a lady (Lissette) and she could not get past the fact that it was brand new. She wanted me to call the store and follow up? My point to her was why should I keep making phone calls, I had already made at least 10 to get to that point. Good service is proactive, she could have offered to get an update and call me back.

Well if the watch was sent to BUSA then she shouldn't have been asking you to contact the store. What did the store try to do before sending the watch away. Was the watch fully wound (assuming mechanical) - 40 turns and then worn to maintain the power reserve?
