Before golfing with George this past Friday, I thought I'd take a quick trip into Govbergs to try on some Rolex's(mainly the TT GMT Master II). After trying looking at it on my wrist for a minute or so, I wasn't sold and I'm not sure why :?. After putting it back in the case, I look in the next case and saw some two tone Datejust II's(41mm) and thought I'd give them a whirl on the wrist...amazing! I never would have thought I would like this style but photos do not do it justice until you see it on your wrist!

I didn't pull the trigger right then and there but the Datejust II is definitely rolex for me! Now here is the question... Black or Ivory? Once again, I love how the black contrasts with the gold, but should I throw something else in the mix dice I have two other black dials in my small collection?

Please pick.

I personally like the way black dials look with gold accents, and Rolex does TT better than anyone IMO.

I was sold on the TT GMT II before I even got it out of the case, but the DJ sure looks great as well.

Standing alone I like the black. With your collection I think an ivory dial would be great but I don't care for the stick markers on white with the twotone. Ill vote black but I. Think gold romans on ivory would be ideal,

I'm on my own again on this one. I quite like ivory/ white face watches. Somehow the black just seems too heavy with the gold for my liking.

Black for me. I tried the Ivory and came close to buying it, but the large lume filled batons (usually a plus for me) seemed out of place on this watch and overwhelmed the dial, whereas the Romans were more subtle (oddly enough, since batons usually are my preference for the opposite reason). I ended up getting the slate gray with dark green Romans.

Did you find the color of the bezel numbers on the TT GMT IIc off putting? They are what led me to sell mine.

After trying it on, I just didn't have that connection like I did with the DJII. The GMTII was nice, but nothing like the DJII IMO.

I much prefer the ivory, the romans look too fussy for me.

The black jumps out at you. The white is bland. Here is a similar look in an eary black Breitling Chronomat. Image

I voted for black although I do like the arabic number dial 2 tone with the black dial better. I'm picking up the white gold/SS with rhodium and blue arabics so I'm partial to arabics. You should just skip the 2 tone and pick up this one from George, I tried it on last week.
