I just purchased a Chronomat GMT 47mm and I noticed that when I use the chronograph, the minute sub dial is always a little bit past the tick marks. It doesn't stop directly on them. As the hand gets around toward the 30 minute mark, then it almost seems to match up to the tick marks, but still is ahead of them. I can't tell for sure, but it seems that when zeroed the hand points straight up.
Another thing is that the hour sub dial seems to be off a little bit when zeroed....like maybe it is pointing a hair off center to the left......this I am not 100% sure of as sometimes it looks straight and then sometimes it looks like it could be off.

Are these common issues and are they easily fixed?

There will always be a little bit of play in the hands because otherwise the movement would bind, so it may just be that. Certainly possible that the hands may be off if they weren't positioned properly, but doesn't make much sense that it would 'catch up'.

If you aren't comfortable that all is correct then take it to the AD and have them take a look - that's what the warranty is for.

I would take it back to the AD and have them take a look at it. A tiny bit off is normal as Roff said, I don't know if your case is a problem or normal though. When it's new and under warranty, it never hurts to take it in!

Minute hand looks fine to me, hour hand is definitely off.

Hour hands looks way off, I would take it in. Additionally, you could let it run over 12 hours, give it a solid reset and see how she goes after that.

Is this a simple fix at the AD if I take it in?

From the experience of a friend who noted his hour hand was off, it's possible after running it past that position @ 12 all the way around again and then stopping the chrono and resetting it, it resets correctly and never repeats itself.

If I understand correctly, if the hand always positions itself consistently off, it's likely the hand was incorrectly pressed and then it would have to be fixed.

Take this with a grain of salt, because neither of us have more then a vague clue what we are talking about, and it's possible his was less off than yours was, and it just reset better based on maximum tolerances in the running train combining to make it look off, combined with his eye being a little crooked. Regardless he let it run 12+ hours, and the problem never repeated.

There are much more knowledgeable people here then myself, and if you post in appropriate subforum you will likely get a lot more help than I can be!

It's not an AD fix either way unless they have a watchmaker on staff. There are a number of possible reasons, most of which are fairly straightforward to fix.

send it back, that is way off normal positions, breitling will fix it

I'd hate to part with it just after buying it do I'll probably leave it for a while and then send it. That way I can put the first scratches on it and not them.
