I have recently ordered a 2002 colt Ocean, some watches I have seen have quite small faces, is this one of them?

Yes - 32.6 to 33.8 mm diameter depending on which model I think.

I did have a Colt Ocean Auto a little while back - blue face with italic Arabic markers. It didn't seem that small to wear so you may be quite pleased as it seems bigger on the wrist.

I liked mine so much I'm thinking about another for day to day wear and when active.

Pics needed when it arrives.

Colt Oceane is a ladies watch. If it's a 2002 model it will be the Colt Oceane SQ (for Super Quartz) which is just under 34mm

I will post photos when I get it tommorow, I looking at this watch as a stepping stone the one I really want, Superocean, automatic. Love that watch. Or maybe avenger seawolf, I am just trying to find the one with larger face as some seem pretty small to me.

Why you say that, I am looking for a watch which is understated, so doesnt stand out to the untrained eye. But one which is inditructable - so-to-say.

I love black on black. What you say!

If you want a large face thats understated, you have one choice: Superocean Steelfish.

I'd agree with the Steelfish. All the colours options on the Steelfish are pretty understated from a distance.

Wayne,

The watch you got was a Colt Quartz which is 37/38mm diam. This was considered the normal size for a man's watch 10 years ago but current fashion is for larger watches which is why it now seems small. Unless you have exceptionally large wrists, it wont look tiny.

Btw your g/f was giving you enough grief for buying this one. Don't start suggesting another just yet

Watch arrived Friday, very nice looking watch, just the look I like but unfort bit to small for my liking. I am going to put this one towards a similar watch but with bigger face. I will post some photos later today.

Which should I go for?

What do you think about this steelfish, it look like the strap and colours I want. Would this be larger and is it worth the asking price?

Wayne, the guy selling this has put a stock Steelfish picture as his main picture (he actually did say that in his description to be fair to him), but what he is actually selling is a standard Superocean looking at the other pictures. If you want a Steelfish (which is bigger than the standard SO) then I'd steer clear of this one.
