How soon are you planning the deal?

I'm not quite ready and if I went for another watch now I may need to sell another. Am thinking of loosing my Monty but not near to a decision yet.

I have a possiblity of 2 that I'm sure of so if the price were right I might be able to go for it earlier than planned.

In no particular order:

1) SOH 46 Black - on a Mesh Bracelet
2) SA White dial - on a bracelet - Arabic markers

OK so here's the deal. They are indeed willing to work with us. Some models are harder to find or move faster and therefore it's difficult to get a percentage amount off across the board.

One thing we did talk about is the possibility of putting in a special order for a special version made specifically for us. I for one would be VERY interested in getting something that you can't find elsewhere.

Any idea's on what it would be or the type of graphic on it that would set it apart? exp: I noticed a special edition Super Avenger online that had the same MSRP as a regular SA. The online price was $3985 which is $2-300 more than the other non-special edition units.

How about a SA with the new larger wings and the word "Source" written directly underneath it in a script like the Super Ocean font.

The owner of the AD will be putting a call into Breitling for us when they reopen on the 14th, so we have enough time to kick around some ideas.

I'll doctor up a photochop job to help visualize ;)

OK, this is very crude as I need to find out what font to use and I need a high resolution image of the new version SA with the larger flying B.

I'm open to suggestions ;)

Had to run some errands and then some work, sorry for late reply. BTW, it was good to meet you. 8)

So as In2Deep has explained that the AD we visited today is very much interested in our GB. There were no specifics yet on how much the discount is but I do have a number in mind. They requested that we get the total number of units desired and what models desired. They also said that depending on the model the discount will be reflected upon that.

Some of you have already PMed me the model and specifics that you require. For those interested but have not PMed me yet please do so, so that I can put a list together of everything.

In addition to the AD that we visited, another one called me and showed some interest in the GB as well. He gave me a pretty good number as far as discount goes but he also said that he would need the total number of units required and which models.

I still have a couple more ADs to talk to regarding this, so give me a couple of days or so and I will report back my findings.

As far as the time frame goes I'd like to try and have our orders in about 4 weeks or so. This way this will give me sometime to go through the number of ADs and figure which one among them will be able to give us the best discount and also their turnaround for deliveries.

Rey

Perhaps we should look into two different options. A list for a group buy and a list for those interested in a special edition watch.

I'd like to be on both please :p

Problem with a special edition is that you can only choose from like 2 models: aerospace and some other one.

YES :D .

Would you mind starting the thread since you're very savvy with the 'puter and you can do all the graphics and what not as the ideas and inputs pour in. If it comes down to the SA I'll still order it...I'll just have to bulk up a little bit.

Let's say you guys went ahead with a SA 'Source' edition....if you went to sell it after a few years, what to you think the resale value would be, more or less than a nomal watch? Just curious, that's all!

With the growth rate around this forum and considering that they won't be available any longer I would have to peg it around "better than average" ;)

My guess it that resale could be difficult as some potential buyers could be concerned that the model is fake if it doesn't look exactly like the models in the Chronolog.

Then they are going to start trolling around looking for an expert to give them an idea as to the authenticity of the piece only to get said advice from an expert on this board with the very same watch in their collection ;)

Now that's a fair point!
