sorry to tell you: it is perfectly real
one of the earliest watches by the "new" Breitling, 1983
interesting because it carries a transitional logo,
resembling the AOPA wings, but with the B logo.

well, as Dracha says, do not believe what I say because I say it, do your own research.
here is the 1985 catalog, have a look a page 5.

http://www.breitlingsource.com/books_1985.shtml

you will notice that this already carries the new logo all of us know quite well.

There are many quartz Navitimers from the late '70s/early '80s.

http://www.lesmala.net/jean-michel/navitimer/index2.htm

Choose Collectors in the left hand column then Quartz Watches at the far right.

Thanks guys!

I didn't even know there were scanned catalogues on the site

Now I know why I didn't buy a Breitling in the 80's :uplaugh:

Yes, the new Breitling company produced some iffy watches in early 1980s. Who didn't think the World model ( http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... d_171.html ) was a fake the first time say saw it?

I actually voted for that World to be the worst Breitling ever in a poll here a few years ago. Ever since Breitling have been trying to change my mind with their new releases.
