I love this game

I don't have a clue what Roff bought, so I'll just sit back and watch the show.

Oh I do hope so!

I honestly don't have a clue on this one.... and if Sergio (the Guessmaster General) doesn't either, then it must be a seriously tough one.

Darn Sharkmouth, now I'm thinking that I bought the wrong watch!

A lot of these guesses don't meet the criteria that I gave you in the first post. I guess that unusual complication is subjective, but the second clue rules out most of the guesses so far. Can't even really give anyone points for getting close.

Here's another clue although it may be more confusing than ever....

It's named after an earlier piece, although it's visually rather different.

I agree!

Of course if I hadn't told you what it was you would have guessed it from the first clues right

no chance at all, but knowing what it is it's quite a logical choice

Hey now that's not such a bad guess! It's wrong, but, not bad

I've done a bit of research after the failed attempt to buy the last one and I've heard some horror stories about movement fragility and ability to service / maintain so while I still like them I'm a bit gun shy.

I'm going to take a shot at this. I know you're into "off" brands, so how about the Vogard Datezoner? I think it was released at Basel last year. Here's how it fits the criteria:

1. Case is titanium carbide and the bezel is 18k gold
2. 90% of the Datezoner's movement components are developed and manufactured in-house, with the movement plate being made in collaboration with a leading manufacturer of aviation components.
3. Unusual complication: indicates daylight savings time
