Very strange behavior. After what I am sure is a full wind I checked it yesterday at 6:00PM just 23.5 after winding it and it was 20 minutes off, reading 5:40. I left it alone did not set it or pick it up. This morning at 9:00AM it was stopped at 5:15. So looks like it lost time over the first 24 hours and did not even make it 36 hours.

Not at all sure what is going on but it does not seem right to me. I work a desk job more or less, but very active outside of work. I park far away in the parking lot, always take the stairs not the elevator. Point being I am not sitting around in a nursing home all day. I wind my SteelFish if it crosses my mind because my AD told me it was good to wind it from time to time but really not necessary. Prior to getting the Omega my Breitling surely went 3-4 months without ever being wound and was typically off by a second or two on months when I needed to set the date.

I think it needs to go back. I can't see that it is an activity or winding issue.

Definitely needs to go back. There is something that is increasing friction in the running train. It's fine with a full wind because there is enough torque being sent from the mainspring to overcome it. As soon as the reserve begins to run down their is insufficient energy to overcome the inertia and the watch starts to lose time and then stop.

In light of this latest report, I agree with Tom (and Roff): it is a clear no-brainer that it needs to go in for servicing.

Well as much as it pained me, I packed it up today and sent it off to the Omega hospital. :boohoo: :boohoo: I brought it to work, set it at 8:00AM, wound it about 20 times (not fully on purpose), swung my arms hard walking the halls getting coffee and such -by noon...or what it said was noon it was off by 8 minutes. The last time I wore it on Tuesday I gave it a full wind and it was going strong 25+ hours later, but did not make it to 35 hours.

Back to the steelfish it is :lingsrock:

Ya think I can sell this to the wife as a reason to buy another watch? She now has more nice watches than me.

Budlum24, I read some other PO posts (Time Zone Omega forum I think) about winding it a lot more. So yesterday I wound it and wound it and wound it....you get the idea. Had it up to my ear, not really sure what to listen for, but I think I heard a different clicking noise. Next I set it in the case face up and will wait two day from Thrusday at 6:30 PM to see where it was. As of this morning with zero movement it was dead on with my SteelFish. Hoping it is OK, but seems to be running slow quite a bit in the month I have had it. I wear it probably 5-6 days a week so it has to be getting plenty of movement on the rotor.

As for the AD I bought my SteelFish and Cartier from Radcliff in Pikesville, not the mall. The mall staff are up tight d!cks...IMHO. The Pikesville store is great. I got my Omega and a Colt 44 from George at Govberg in Philly. George is one class act. Can't say enought good things about him.

I am in norther Harford County (Purgetory) so the western side of Baltimore or Philly is not much difference it distance. Where you located? BTW see you sig. I dig the steelfish GMT...nice!

Sorry about your luck and hopefully your PO is returned quickly. +1 on Radcliffe in Pikesville. I've always had great experiences with them. My last trip involved a lovely young sales lady practically forcing me to try on the JLC Duometre Lunaire in pink gold. I was very hopeful your PO wasn't from J. Brown in Pikesville...I wouldn't let them return a watch on a warranty claim. They have always been stuffy, rude, and have little to no knowledge of their products.

I'm located in the historic and beautiful Aberdeen area. Its the All America City, you know. I assume they had already bought the signs when they found out that All American City was already taken.
