Very glad indeed.
Scaffold has been erected today, ready to replace the roof, and as soon as that's done the work on the extension will begin. :-)

boiler is in and working, should be getting the rads in upstairs next week - all of downstairs will e converted to underfloor heating when the extension is in progress. Coming along very nicely now... Can't wait to move it!

Will the underfloor heating be sufficient to heat the air space as well? I kind of thought it was more to prevent cold floors rather than replace a furnace or water/rads.

A proper (pipes and water not electric ) underfloor heating system will not only do the job better than rads it will also be more efficient at it.
It eliminates cold spots in a room and because I'm having limestone flooring throughout the extension it will retain heat for several hours after the system turns off. That's the theory anyway....

Awesome update Jim, just admire your courage and patience. And all that in two months. Great job, if you ask me. Would love to see what will come next.

Great thread Jim. A good choice to get a Worcester-Bosch boiler if you ask me. I've just had one (37CDI) fitted andf it's three times cheaper to run than my last boiler.
