Rolex are always long for the diameter, eh? The 41mm DateJust 2 I had was really at the length limit for me and one reason I never bothered to look at the Explorer 2. I'll definitely check out the ceramic PO in 42mm if it is in black. Otherwise, I'm leaning in the two tone ceramic Sub or SS Daytona direction. Yeah, I know, I know, Daytona?!?

I'm a Daytona fan so no complaints there but a TT sub???? Ewwww.

Or SS. But Rolex two tone is done so well.

The man speaks the truth... :nana: or how about returning to the GMT IIC owner's club?

There are dozens of great watches out there...Just find the right fit.
I will never part with my GMT,Cockpit or Xezo....You may ask why?
Because, they just fit so good and are all truly Great Watches.
We must not feel so strongly about one brand that we fail to see
what others have conceived. IMHO

It shouldn't matter to me but... I see soooooo many subs and gmts that it just kills it for me. Otherwise I really like the sub. I can't say enough good about my aqua terra btw.

TwoTone, here are the brands I've owned in the last 3 years off the top of my head besides Breitling - Rolex, Chopard, Bell&Ross, Blancpain, Zenith(several), Omega(several), JLC(two), Breguet, IWC(several), (several), and Glasshutte. I may be leaving something out, havent had my coffee yet.

Yet after all that and when push comes to shove, Breitling is by far my favorite brand. Oh well, there is still the Monty out there.

You forgot Panerai, Tag, and Hamilton on your list.

Went to the AD over lunch to check out the possibility of two new releases - TO 1461 and Chronomat 44 GMT. Had never had a TO on the wrist. Tried one on and the dang lugs are so long, it is too big for me. Son of a buck.

Next, the Chronomat 44 on a strap to see how the new GMT might fit. AGAIN too long lug end to lug end. Son of a Bitch!

That takes both of my new "wannabuys" off the table. Looks like the only Breitling left with a chance for me is the Chronomat 41.

All in all, a rather disappointing watch day..............

Sorry for the let down Tom. I guess I'm fortunate not to have that problem. But it's also a curse because I want a Sub C so bad, and it wears like a ladies watch on me. I am still on the hunt though. Personally, I find the 44-45mm range perfect. At least now they do have that Chronomat 41 for you. :D Here's my 01 LE that wears just perfectly. Any idea when the GMT 44 will be out? I heard May..

(sorry for the blurry pic)

May is what I was told.

Yeah Tag. It was my first watch deal. I traded something to Sergio for Skyland and Link Chrono and added incentives.

Lug length is why the 40mm sub looks too big on me, while my 42mm Superocean or a 42mm PO looks just fine.

Thinking about going down the rolex road myself though, the 39mm explorer nodate is a piece of art in my book.

I know, if it is too big it just does not work no matter how much I like the watch.
I dropped by one of the ADs in Hong Kong this weekend and they still had the Chronospace Jet Team.
My eyes lit up like spot lights however at 48mm once I put it on my wrist it just looked radiculous.
Sadly I had to say "no thank you" even though the dealer offered 20% discount right away without even asking for it ;-(
