Interesting question, Rene. Definitely NOT with the twin jet logo; I would say no, I think black 806 only came with beaded bezels; the only other examples I have seen come from that well known unreliable (to put it mildly) source; but would like to hear other opinions ?

Reluctant to say never simply because the early 60s transition period saw so many different combinations of bezel / subs / hands / etc, but agree that I can't think of one that was clearly 'right'.

Ok it's redone, ------ looks good though dunnit! Keeps good time and I feel good wearing it. Must have been in pretty bad condition to have it done? or was it someones whim to have all black with white hands ? Personally I like the combination just like the 60s Omega speedmasters. Thanks for the help guys. Jim.

might have been in poor condition, do not think anybody would refinish a dial out of a whim;
no harm, wear it in health and enjoy it !

Truthfully ?, no, because it doesnt resemble a known version anymore

If it still has the V178 movement you have a quality movement that can be very accurate and I am glad you feel good about wearing it

'Bad condition' is a personal opinion , most people would prefer to source the original parts , which can take years

you realize that you like something that was never released in this form by Breitling ?, Great if you still like it but you can hardly call it a breitling anymore IMHO

IMHO the best choice would be to source a good used period correct dial and sliderule, in order to go back to something compliant with an original Navitimer 806.
The most shocking point on your dial is the green lume . The imprint " Breitling Genève " and "Navitimer" are too fat with improper fonts , and the sliderule is poorly reprinted
As far as I know the combination allblack + twinplanes has been something like a trial batch or a mistake . The dial of my own Navitimer 806-E is 100% genuine Breitling but dated 1970 , and if you compare with yours you will clearly see the differences in printing definition .

I like it, it reminds me of a 60s speedmaster. Black on white.
