OK, so you got me going with the straps now :(
Other than the obvious black, do you think any of these would work?
Keep in mind however that I'm looking at the Navi 01 LE with the "silver" wings, not gold as pictured here.
Not sure why Breitling decided to make them silver on the LE in the first place.

To me, the beauty of the "traditonal color" Navi, black with white sub-registers and E6 ring, which I'm finally figuring out, is that it will go with just about anything. I think it goes with black, burgundy, brown, green, honey, probably even blue, you name it. I wouldn't stick a rubber band on it, though it would probably look okay.

And yes, I like both of those you posted.

My appologies, I missed that. Although some strong hints of interest in watches have always been there, I was not trully "born" until December when :santa: came again.

Hey, a few months ago I got the navi on a brown croc strap and I can't tell you how much pictures don't do it justice. It looks great! Sorry this is the only live pic I have of it right now.

I believe the 740P is brown; the 738P is gold.

Good eye! I didn't even thing to zoom in on the stamping. These photos always seem to make the gold and brown look alike.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

But i reckon both of the OP shots are OK. Hard to go past black and brown in calf and croc though.

i think either works. i personally dont like the green for myself but it dont view it as a bad combo. i just find other colors to be more appealing. straps are so cool because each one gives the watch a different look, sometimes completely different. if you like it, then go with it!

:yeahthat 100%. Black and brown are the only two colors I'd put on the Navi. The "colorful" ones, seem to distrct form the watch, IMO.

Yes indeed, anything in the brown range. Black and the browns compliment the piece, while the others, IMO, become about the strap and not the combination of strap and watch. But as always, to each his own (even if they are wrong! ).
