Not exactly my bag, but a nice grail for someone, for sure...

Not sure if TZ is commercial, so no link.

A little info might help - pretty big site over there at TZ. You can put the link here, not against TZ rules.

Sorry, I was on there and it jumped right at me...

All in caps: "BREITLING UNITIME". A nice ref 260 in SS. It looks original and quite clean and is being sold by someone I've bought from before and was knowledgeable and trustworthy.

Though don't know much about this reference or it's originality, surely looks nice from the pictures.

Was learning a bit about Unitimes.Actually looks like this was the same watch that is being onsold on TZ looking at the slight scratches on the dial and the condition of the rotating country name bezel though I could be wrong and might be a different one.
See viewtopic.php?f=3&t=32688
Not refering to the seller of the watch in the OP's post but in general, love how the seller tomvox1 in this link described the watch in detail, impressed really. If only all sellers could describe a watch in this honest detail so that buyers gets an as advertised watch rather than unpleasant surprises later.

HI Rene, I meant that looks like the watch was bought from tomvox1 by the seller based on the description in tomvox'1s thread but I could be wrong. You mean the seller in link you posted is the same as the TZ seller or thhat the TZ seller bought it off him?

thats my assumption as it looks like the exact same watch to me including the polished sides and dial patina, and dont get me wrong , I dont see anything wrong with that as Vintage watches all come from somewhere and I buy and sometimes sell some of my watches as well when I see something better/nicer or just want something else

Fair enough, though if that watch is the same one as tomvox1 sold last year, there is a lot more detail in tomvox1's ad.

I do not recall polishing this watch but if the owner at the time asked, I would have, otherwise I would not. Just FYI for those who are interested in this model - I consider the movement (Felsa cal 711) in this watch to be sub standard compared to some of the better watches of that era. Its on par with some of the Waltham watch movement designs that were also sub standard and cheap. Sorry to burst your bubble - you'll just have to get over it! Craig
