Wow!! These two new Tudor models are amazing. Rumors are that they will be in the 3-4k usd price range. I've always wanted a "snowflake" but didn't want to search for and deal with a vintage one. Too bad they're not sold in the US.

I usually don't care for anything non-Rolex that looks that close to a sub, even Tudor, but the lumed ceramic bezel changes it for me, like the date feature on the old Tudor "Date-tonas" did. Looks like a relatively beefy case, perhaps like the old sea-dweller. Doesn't appear to be a chunky as a deepsea, but at 42mm, maybe it is. They'll eventually show up on resale for U.S. availability. Any idea of the cost?

I really like the Pelagos...42mm, titanium, no date cyclops, and really love the lume on the bezel.

Pete the real question is, is it double AR coated?? . Could be a deal breaker for you.

wow thanks for sharing pete. this piece is like an updated Sea Dweller. I like the fact that its a little larger at 42 mm.

Holy sh!t, that's the most amazing clasp set up I've seen. Just watched the video of it. Don't they sell these in Dallas and some other US spots???? If so, it would be worth the cost of a round trip flight to Dallas just to try it out.

Hmmm... That's the real question.

Anyway, speculation is that the price is in the 3000.00 to 4000.00 usd range. But as far as I know, there are no US ADs.

3-4 for which one? If the Pelagos, it would definitely be worth the risk of never trying it on plus customs fees. Sign me up.

The clasp's pressure expansion system seems to work on a spring-resistance principle, where the expansion of the wetsuit (or wrist) pushes against the springs. For it to work on a wrist, it would have to fit snugly. That wouldn't work for me, since I need breathing room on a bracelet. So, while innovative, it doesn't sound like it would do me any practical good. The titanium and bezel lume definitely make this an interesting watch, but for the price, I think I'm more inclined to go for an Omega SMP ceramic. Seeing the Tudor in person might change my mind, but that doesn't sound like a realistic possibility.

But it appears to have a 3 position on the fly adjustment before you close the clasp. The springs only come into play for expansion beyond the preset of the 3 position. At least that's how I am interpreting the video, which I'll watch again.

I think you're right. I was just commenting on the auto-expansion. On-the-fly adjustment is definitely a good thing; I'd like to see it in all watches. It's just that in practical terms, the three positions is all that clasp will practically offer anybody who doesn't like a bracelet to be tight against their wrist (except for those who actually would wear it over a wetsuit), somewhat diminishing the seemingly innovative nature of the clasp. Kind of like extreme WR: impressive, yes, but can you use it?

yeah but sometimes I find myself between adjustments depending on weather, etc... I might adjust a bracelet on the snug side rather than too loose and throughout the day it might become too snug. Just one or two mils of "give" could make all the difference in a comfortable fit throughout the day. It has possibilities.
