These are both officially on my watch list. The black on black is currently getting most of the wishful thinking, but preference might depend on the day of the week for me

That black one is crazy nice. Looks like a Patek.

sooo much talk about if the 1462 or qp goes in house, you do realize how rare a qp or 1461 moon phase chrono with an in house is? the SAME movement breiting uses in the moon phase perpetual calendar is the same one ap uses and charges like 50k for? there are so few watches that will use that complication, it cant even be close justifying the millions of $ or years of time it takes to develop a new in house movement like that. be glad its a quality movement and affordable.

I would go black face I need the contrast to read the time . As far as in house movement goes no thanks I don't want the extra cost and possible reliability issues that new movements have . Now I know your going to hate me but again I have an opinion about every thing, no one said you have to like it !

Fear, which AP model uses the same movement that the 1461 uses and they charge 50k for. I had no idea. Is it the 1461 calender that adds the cost, surely it's not the moon phase.

I mean, this is a serious piece, but it comes in around the same price as a GO PanoMaticLunar, that is a tough call. If I can only buy one this year.....

Thomas this thread is killing me, I have been up all night looking around @ this piece. Black, I think. It's more universal. I'm calling the AD tomorrow and asking him if he plans to order them when available. I think they will run about $9200 here on croco w/deployant.

The PML isn't an annual calendar but there is no doubt that I would rather have a PML (and i already put my order in) than the TO. The white TO above looks very nice but at 46mm it's too big. There's no way Breitling will make an inhouse annual calendar, they havent even released a three handed in house yet.

I thought these were going to be the same 43 mm case as the TO Chrono?

As for the choice between the two, the black dial is def my favorite. No in house option doesnt bother me as the price would likely go even higher, and as fear said it is a bit of a niche movement, so I dont expect that R&D to happen.

At just shy of 10K there are lots of options out there, but this one sure does hang close to the pack

Which AP?

Also, Breitling charges more than $50k for a perpetual (calibre 29) movement, 1461 / calibre 19 is only semi-perpetual.

Correct (at least according to the Breitling webiste). The TO 1461 is 43mm like the TOC. It's only the Playschool-Dial-Unitime that is 46mm.

Driver is right, my mistake I confused it with the globe trotter. If it was a Rolex it would be the globe dweller.
