One tiny piece of good news from the new releases is that the Flying Fish has got a brushed bracelet option this year.

Now it is almost exactly like the Chonomat 01 LE; minus the red subdial hands and display back.

It's too big for me, but that's a nice watch. I'd say "really nice" except for the persistence of the darn square in the middle.

:yeahthat I've actually considered the B01 on occasion as a potential acquisition, after realizing the brushed Buck Rogers bezel wasn't so horrible after all. While I probably won't get it (it's too big, and for the price, there are other options I prefer), if I did, this would be the "B01" I'd go with. I'd certainly take it any day over the "new" Blackbird.

Very nice, like that one a lot. Two issues I still have with that piece which have kept me from pulling the trigger, the square on the dial, and that gdam diver's pearl....why does it have to be so freakin big???

They made the diver's pearl that big because Breitling had extra lume since they didn't use ANY on the new SuperOcean divers.

In that case, why didn't they use any on the latest Blackbird monstrosity?

(Sigh...I just used "Blackbird" and "monstrosity" in the same sentence. I never thought it would come to that.)

The Chronomat GMT 44 LE might be a nice alternative to the FF. Same color scheme and an added complication. I like both equally
