Ok, I'm an idiot. Can someone explain how to read the unitime? I see the red sun or lack of it on the new version and the light/dark ring on the vintage must have to do with daylight vs night.

Gimme the breakdown on the new version above as an example. It is 10 after 10 where I am and I know if it is day or night if I look out the window right? What else do I know about the rest of the world? Does the ring with the cities rotate?

the TZ crowd seems to love it. Maybe we already infected too many people here w/ the vintage bug - subconsiously at least - so they are looking for refined, subdued, subtle, understated designs .....

problem is, Hank the Cod rules !

The TZ crowd must not have ever seen Rene's Unitime and seen how much better the simple continents look compared to the ostentatious presentation of the globe on the new one

I love the TO 1461. If it had an in-house; it would be a must have for me.

I'll wait for the in-house version, I can't afford both. If I could, I would buy it and sell it later for the in-house.

The 1461, and the new blackbird are all ling has left for me to love right now.

I will say, things are looking a lot better this year than they have in recent history.

It even has the days and months in english to confuse you too. :poke: :D

 I got the nod on this one from the boss (if it come out in-house)!

I long ago stopped dropping by the Breitling forums on TZ and WUS. For whatever reason, and I won't even hazard a guess, every new release for the last 3 years has been fawned and drooled over with virtual unanimity. Hard to reconcile that with what we read here, which typically is in line with my views (even if I do have a BSBB and SOII). But to each person and each forum their own it seems.

That's why those other forums suck. The opinions are based on marketing dollars, it's a big sham.

Thank you!

Likely white; and I will also grab a brown croco for it, unless I am overcome with temptation by a black on black croc. I will have to see how I like the mesh in person.

My reservations about the globe and "recycled" movements notwithstanding, I generally like what Breitling is doing with the line. It's a whole hell of a lot better than the utter trashing of the Chronomat and Superocean lines. That said, I still think the original TOC is still the best of the TO lot. And yeah...they STILL need a traditional bracelet option.

I have been oogling these two models all day and I think I am favoring the black dial on black croc, but both are really sweet looking dress watches
