Based on what I've seen on Perpetuele, it's the no date Sub for me. Cerachrom (whatever that is!) bezel and updated Oyster bracelet with Glidelock clasp.

No doubt boring to many but a nicely updated classic to me.

Couldn't agree more! I really like how clean that looks!! I think the releases at SIHH completely destoryed everything released so far at Basel, very disappointing.

I havent seen any accept the Breitling and Rolex models yet, but Re: the 2...

Rolex- I sort of like the Sky Dweller, but obviously in the $25K+ market I think if falls way short. SS case and a non-fluted brushed bezel and you could sell a million of the for $12-14K. No-date sub is a really nice option for the cyclops haters.

Breitling- There are plenty of other posts about the shortcomings of the new model, so I will leave that be, but the TransOcean 1461 is a stunner on croc. Always liked the 1461 layout, but never fully came to love it on the Navi which has such a distinct look it was never in the potential purchase list. However the moon-phase and 4 year calendar in the dressier TO case is just perfect for me.

I can deal with an ETA movement as a B01 variant already puts the TO out of reach, so this model may be a *relatively* cheap way to get into the Transocean model I have been lusting after for the last year

I agree, which given that I am no Rolex fan is saying something. Yachtmaster's not bad either, and after that probably the dark dial Tag Carrera

I wasn't going to mention this, but I must say, Tag has come up with some nice looking watches lately. Their unveils today are pretty nice and have elements of a IWC Portofino in them. Tag should get a little love because they have done a better job lately than a lot of brands.

Cerachrom is the ceramic material on the bezel. :D

Nothing really got me this year, the New Patek Nautilus in white is nice, and the update no Date Sub is a nice little upgrade but I am not interested in both as they are too similar to what I have and boring to be honest, the new Ceragold Omega PO might be an interesting watch but I will have to see it up close and personal as I do feel thats its more gimmick than anything really innovative.

I stoll want the same three watches that I had my eye on last year, with the only addition being from SIHH, the updated new AP RO, now thats a great piece!

I am amazed how different that watch looks just by having a white dial.

 The funny thing was when I first saw the no-date Subbie on the Rolex website (under the banner of being a "new" Submariner, but no info on it being a no-date version), I actually couldn't tell what had changed! I just assumed it was Rolex reverting to their tectonic-plate movement speed of development!

So I tend to agree that this Subbie is certainly one of the better practical offerings this year.

On the less practical (read: affordable) side, then Breguet and GO have produced the goods once again.

I don't like any of the new Rolexes, but the Breitling that really catches my eye is the Chronomat GMT LE. :D (Surprising, I know) I haven't really looked at the rest of the Basel releases.

I kind of like the Speedmaster racing. But I have to see it live to be sure. Off to Basel on Sunday :)

Aside from that, the Zenith Espada looks just like what I like...
