Does anyone know if you can still get the bright red ocean-racer?

My AD has one on a watch. I think it's just the Japanese fitting site that has removed it, not heard anything about the strap being withdrawn - it was only introduced in the spring. Maybe they just decided it wasn't appropriate for the Japanese market??

That might well be true. When I got my red Chronomat earlier, the AD said that no Japanese guy would be likely to have the courage to by a red dial watch - they stick out too much. Maybe the same with a red rubber strap.

On the other side, I saw several Japanese girls dressed in red rubber... But that's maybe a completely different thing.

Yes the red Ocean Racer is still available, but not for all case lug widths...

Yes, I bought Altair's. I thought that if you can get away with 2 of each, so can I... ;) However, with Altair's situation I wasn't in the mood for a celebration post (even if the 6.75 is a great watch). And I see it as I'm borrowing the watch, I've offered Altair the possibility to reverse the deal if and when he wants.

Back to the thread: Go arabic numbers, go!

Nice going Aleister - and that's a very generous way of putting it by allowing for a reversal of the deal. You're a decent guy.

I have converted to batons, had issues with the font used on the arabics... will still probably pick up a white one "old-school" style.

Buy one and you´ll get the point.
And you might also be the only person to own three SA´s! (?)

Congratulations on your 2008 Blue SA. I would love to see the new style dial in person. Maybe someday!
