My wife don't care what I collect as long as it is not more women. I also tell her that my collections have value and I will sell them in the reverse order of the way I love them if I need retirement money [TAX FREE]. I not only collect watches but also art and british cars and all have value. She knew what she was getting into when she married me. My last wife gave me the choice between an Austin Healy 3000 or her. I STILL HAVE THE AUSTIN HEALY.

Why not retain your full inventory, escort your wife to an AD,
& offer to buy her a Colt 33 ("Lite")? If she prefers another
watch, then do so as long as both agree on choice & price.

:santa:

I'd sell the Aerospace. Highly replacable by another quartz if you want something accurate.

Get rid of the wife!!!! I love that one. I'll see if I can have a heart to heart talk with her tonight. I do actually fly professionally so the Aerospace with the co-pilot feature is very handy, and would be hard to get rid of because it was my first B-ling. A number 5 does sound tempting..... lets see how the conversation goes. Thanks guys.

no need to get rid of the lady.
Just show her the posts.
Once she sees what chauvinistic creatures you associate with, she will walk out by herself :D

Since you fly I'd change my vote to getting rid of #4, the avenger, though it pains me to type that. Navi is iconic, the SOH on mesh gives you a nice departure from the more tool aspect. Send me the Avenger and I'll hold on to it till you need it back, you can tell the wife you sold it.

I think you have a great collection, and would not get rid of any. I'll be the odd man here, and say that the aerospace is a must! SQ technology, lightweight, co-pilot is very cool, and so accurate you can set your OTHER watches to it. No one here knows the dynamics of your relationship, so I can tell you to put your foot down, get a new woman, whatever, but we don't have to pay the consequences. I think your collection is excellent because there is no redundancy. All different.

I would probably buy the wife something nice as suggested to get her off your back, and KEEP the collection in tact. :lingsrock:

Well, I'm going to be the spanner in the works. Don't get rid of the Aerospace - why would anyone want to part with such an innovative and practical timepiece? Let's face it - I'm not sure that Breitling would be as popular as they are today without the Professional Series, many Breitling fans started out with an Aerospace or Emergency. Also, one of the innovative aspects of the Aerospace was that it is made of titanium and incredibly lightweight so IMHO that's what sets it apart from many watches. So there you go - my twopenny worth :D .

+2 on keeping the Aerospace.

Had mine 15 years now, recently started wearing it again and it's still class (and accurate!)

Tough choice on which one to drop. Can't you just put one in the back of the sock drawer (on the basis out of sight out of mind  )

The Aerospace without question unless you need a quartz.
