Breitling in NY is telling customers that a new Breitling Emergency -- with a 406 MHz digital model -- is going to be shown at the Basel Watch Show in March. Anybody have any confirmation -- that a Breitling with a 406 MHz digital model is actually going to be sold in 2012? And if so -- anybody know WHEN? Thanks --

All the info that I have heard is that it won't appear until 2013. May be a pre-production / demo model at Basel I guess.

I guess no leaked or preview info. When might leaked pics start showing up?

I'd imagine especially in today's world we would have already found out by now.

Be good if there is one on show, can't wait to see what they can do to improve on the last one!

I doubt, that the new emergency will already be presented this year...

Now Breitling in NY is saying that there for sure WILL be a new Breitling Emergency -- with a 406 MHz signal transmitter. But that they are not sure WHEN. They say it "may" be rolled out for Christmas season 2012. Anybody have any rumors, updates or confirmation? Thanks --

There has been nothing recent from Breitling, and they haven't committed to any timeframe.

The higher the frequency of the transmitter, the lower the range.

Thanks. Appreciate you jumping in. Is there any particular source for the report that a new Breitling Emergency (406 MHz) would come out in 2014? Is that, for example, something that Breitling itself (or industry reports) have said?

Umm. You do know why they are switching from 121.5 to 406, right?
