p.s. what do you mean 'not un-restored' ?

The case has been butchered by somebody.

All 4 outer side of the lugs have been “cleaned”, meaning that they have been filed to remove signs of use, but whoever did have taken far too much away, it looks like a wall, see my picture to compare.

It looks like the area between the top and the sides of the lugs have been reduced by up to 50 %.

And all 4 ends of the lugs have cut straight, so that they don’t have a smooth and beautiful tip anymore.

On the picture you shot from looking straight at the lugs it even looks like the crown side lug is much thicker then the opposite one.

great observation , I didnt even notice that , I will compare 'lug lenghts' with a somewhat later 806 but I can see that its straight instead of curved. I cant see any file/polish marks on the lugs and as they're really as sharp as a knife I didn't give it too much thought

something lost in translation there .
I don't mean its bad because its a '55 , personally I would have liked it better if it was a '54 :D

can you post a pic from the inside of the lug to see how much space is between the springbar hole and the tip ?
I am wondering how much was taken off , that difference should be quite visible if we compare the inside of the lugs ?
