It's an absolute yes for me. As an former owner of both the brushed and polished BB, I think the blacksteel is unique and the coating is awesome. The DPII strap and deploy is awesome and looks great on the blacksteel. Make the move and don't look back.

Let this thread be a lesson for anyone else in a similar quandary: posting "What should I do?" type threads on this forum will never get you any clear answers.

Yea I agree. If the plane is black then the watch should be as well. BLACKbird should be BLACK.

Just watched the recent 'True Grit'.
I must say it was very good (bit like the BS BB), but I prefer the original.

It is really nothing to do with the SR-71 for me, (stunning as it is (and even more so when you have been up close and personal)).

I think I have to come out here, and I know some of you will have been wondering about this for quite some time. I simply do not like BS finishes, I think they just look........

Well after some serious consideration, and whit the fact i am still in love whit brushed finish and faceted bracelet...the blackbird was my small dream come true..i decided no to trade it, instead i decided to go whit the easy way out and buy the blacksteel blackbird and keep both. Wise decision dont you think?

Its going to be my first limited edition breitling And maybe the only blacksteel i ever consider buying
and boy i cant wait to receive it

It is new unworned whit 2 year warranty starting now, packed whit BS clasp deployment instead of the cheaper tang buckle. The bs bb is sold out, so i could not resist to put my hand on one specially considering the price the AD made me. It is going to be a very nice alternative to the regular BB. Cant wait...
Do you think my decision was good?

Pics to follow when received

Damn i just cant stop whit this breitling thing.... Now i can say i have a blackbird thing  :superman:

Indeed. Good choice, though. Now, if you listen closely at night, you'll be able to hear the Red Strike calling your name.

far from that...i hate the redstrike...i think its one of the worst variations ever made by breitling... i also dislike the Blue version and all those polished...the brushed normal and the blacksteel are the only ones i like... the blacksteel has the right amount of red in the dial instead of the red strike that has that horrible red date font

wish breitling could release a 45/46mm blackbird whit house movement and a display back that would be a perfect watch...easly becoming a flagship from the brand
