They were certainly showing a "collection" back in 2003. There was also some debate about a Spanish exhibition that had watches that also appeared in "Breitling The Book". Try a search for that.

Vintage Collection

The Unofficial Breitling FAQ is proud to present the Breitling USA Vintage Collection courtesy of Breitling USA and Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers. While Breitling continues to strategically add historically important pieces to the collection, it is presented here in its entirety as of November 22, 2003. The descriptions come directly from Breitling USA, although any information pertaining to serial numbers has been intentionally omitted. Please click the thumbnails to view larger images. Note that there is no item #11; this is not an error. Enjoy!

never saw before a 60 min chrono subdial, I thought the up & down chronos are with 45 min, or at least the ones I saw around in web? that one no: 22. is that about the teeth in the movement? and if that is a venus 170 does it come with 30 min-45 min and 60 min chrono variants? any idea?

It's just a single wheel, many movements had different variants on minute totalisers.

I`m not sure if its gone but I`ve been to the head quarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds and have seen the watches they had on display. They also had some advertising materials there also. I can look around for the pictures I took but here`s a site that has them posted also

Thansk Rod but strange they denied they had any unless they sold them. Nice pics btw. Did you visit in 2007 and was it open to the public?

Also can someone decipher the claimed 1952 NAvitimer they have or is that just a later one we already know about and that they have incorrectly labelled?

cruvon, why don't you send that link to the Breitling guy that replied to your request and get his feedback. Re the 806 - maybe, just maybe, this is the elusive, never documented pre-Broendum Navi, but odds are it is one of the mixup pieces, pics are just not good enough to say anything about it, I think.

Even if those pieces are quite nice, it would be a sad Heritage Museum for such a great brand, some of the members here have a collection that puts this to shame, maybe this is why Breitling does not really want to publish about it ?

Its not really a museum per se, but more of a collection adjacent to a board room. While not complete or housing every model made, it did reflect a general history of the brand. Even Rolex didn't really start putting a collection together till the last decade. It is part of a factory tour for invited guests.

Hi Fred, thanks, did reply to her original mail she had replied to but looks like Breitlings customer service mailbox is full from the lst few days, I am getting bounced email message warnings. True is quite a skimpy heritage collection for a company that boasts having a great heritage and chrnus out heritage watches for profit:)

Thanks for clarifying, makes sense though still think they need to add some great pieces to that display collection:)
