I know that this has been beaten to death in the forum, but I just wanted to know owner's specific experience with incremental time loss that worsens day after day.

Here's the issue: My World is one year old, and has held time wonderfully for the last 11 months. Over the last several weeks, I have noticed that I am gone from gaining 1 sec/day to gradually losing 4-5 sec/day. Given that in am on the cuff of COSC cert. there's not much that I can do, however, my warranty soon expires

Here are my questions: 1. With your experience, will the increased seconds being lost reach a ceiling, or will it just keep insidiously losing time. 2. With the conventional 1 year warranty, will anything be done by Grigoros Canada (Breitling repair center) after the year anniversary is up?

Oh, BTW, I have OCD. Not good. I love my watches to be holding as well as possible. I know this is not reality.

Thanks for your feedback.

1) That's impossible to answer without knowing what's causing the time loss, if it's increasing friction from a loss of lubrication / dirt then there is probably a cap at which point it won't lose any more - but tha could be causing additional damage.

2) I assume that you are referring to the service warranty - purchase warranty is two years, but the short answer is no. If the warranty has run out then get your credit card ready.

It's performing oddly and it's under warranty - get it checked.

Thanks Roff. My one year warranty expires in 2 weeks!

Take it to an AD that you know does not have a timing machine and tell them its running slow. Theyll send it to Breitling for you. Youll probably have to pay for shipping so it comes down to how much it bothers you. You are technically outside of COSC specs, but if they time it they might come up with a different number than you and try to convince you that it doesnt need to be adjusted.

Thanks very much RJ. I'll go see them this week-end.

I don't notice any time loss in mine, maybe it's just so small that I never realize it, but I haven't adjusted the time since I got it (about 6+ months ago at least). I also wear it all the time except when showering.

I'm with Roff and RJ on this one. If you're losing five seconds a day, it is technically outside of COSC specs. But even if it were still within specs, the fact that there's a noticeable shift in how much it's losing, over such a short period of time, indicates a potential problem. If it were my watch, I'd rather have Breitling/Grigoros eat the cost, rather than me.
