OK as a beginner in the watches world, I am still approaching and learning to make good choices. Meanwhile I ran into the story in Breitling ' Cosmonaute ' vs ' Cosmonaut ' , hence it was a new term in those times Gagarin vs Armstrong,I am fine with that and that Wakmann just not to be confused switched to Aero - Timer term.( aero - timer, if I am not mistaken )

But what does this mean? Istambul vs Istanbul literally. Is this a re-finished dial with lack of knowledge or a real Breitling mis - vocabulary.

Ran into this one while digging ebay:

Nothing wrong here, Istanbul is/was also called Stambul, Stamboul, Istambul, formerly Constantinople, Byzantium.

No errors, Breitling comes from a French speaking part of the world, hence the French.

Yep to have this Texas flag, your watch should be from the year 1838 :nana:

So this era ( 1950's) watch is smthng special as a conclusion which presents those years and therefore unique. Can we say that?
