Just wondering how many of you out there have ever stopped and checked if your minute hand accurately lines up with the minute index exactly when the seconds hand switches from 59-0.

If so, which piece have you noted this on?

Thanks!

Pretty much always do when I wind and re-set my mechanicals after they have stopped. I stop the seconds hand at the twelve and set the minute hand to the minute ahead on the atomic clock. Then when the atomic comes to match my watch setting I start the seconds. I then watch the next minute rotation and see if the minute hand lines up with next minute marker as the second hand crosses twelve again. If it does not, due to play in the minute mechanism, I inch forward the minute hand ahead slightly and do it over again until I get it to match up properly. Kinda nuts I know! .

I do pretty much the same thing, though it seems that if the hands aren't exactly coordinated to start with, they'll work it out, and get there.

My Aqua Terra is dead on, and gets that way by itself. My Breitling is usually close, but not right on.

I go 5 or 10min. past the mark and then back-up that shakes the wiggle room out.
