Some prior post by Acceldebt (AKA "Lingman") and subsequently me established those contrast stitches, on a black strap especially, can be "removed" with a black Sharpie. Sounds silly, but it is simple, fast, and permanent. Really surprised me when I tried it on a black croco. Took less than 5 minutes and I was amazed before I was half way through.
I do like the DPII rubber, not much of a fan though of the OR.
Funny, I remember a couple years whe a member posted he was going to get a Chronomat on rubber and everyone was telling him not to do it. Now we see it all over. Seems to be a combination of the simple look of the DPII plus the admiration for the deploy.
I don't see me ever putting a rubber stap on a Navi, but who knows!!
