A worthy successor to the B2!
I see there are 2 hands where the usual stop watch seconds hand is. What does the other one do?

The hours and minutes of the chronograph are on the same subdial.

I went into Mappin and Webb on Regent Street this morning. I tried on a Skyland Black Steel, which was very cool but perhaps not what I want for my first Breitling, a grey-face Skracer and a Blackbird.

Hey Chrisk,
Just curious...I have a Blacksteel, and thought it was amost at the end of the model run. Did you happen to notice what the number was of the Blacksteel? They are doing a run of 2000, and I saw one here in Vancouver a couple of months ago that was 1897/2000. Pretty close to the end!
Cheers,
Carl

Apologies for the late reply. I have been on vacation in Greece for a week.

I didn't check the serial number, sorry. However, they were about to ship it to another branch in London with a customer who wanted to buy it, so it's probably gone now!

Most people would recommend a mild detergent and a toothbrush for cleaning. I use do this with my Ling and other watches and find that it works great.

For scratches, a lot of people love to use Cape Cod cloths, generally found on ebay.

I use a sonic toothbrush with just warm water, works great to get in-between the bracelet etc.. I also use a Pentax micro fibre cloth to get finger print marks off the polished finish. Haven't needed to polish it yet as still unmarked.

That's a beautiful watch jpy, I hadn't really known about the Skyracer until a couple of people posted threads about it. Now I'm starting to think I prefer it even to the SA.

Just been in to the AD to pick up something else and while I was there I had a look at a slate dial Skyracer which they just got in. It's gorgeous, even the price isn't putting me off as much any more.

I dunno about the "preferring it to the SA" part  , but the Skyracer is a lovely looking watch. When I get round to buying a Professional range model, the Skyracer is definitely the one I'm going for.
