Bought this off ebay. Nervous as the photos are not so clear. The info I have been given, its got the receipt and papers form Goldsmiths - London. The chap is very nice bloke to so cant really knock him there.

This was the description, I cant uplaod photo as dont know how.

"This is my Breitling Colt Ocean Wrist Watch. It has the black face

It has fitted the rubber divers strap but also comes with the original Breitling Blue Leather Strap only worn twice.

I bought this watch at Goldsmiths in the City of London on 18th June 2002. I don't think I have worn it more than 50 times. Hence the reason for selling.

It comes withe Official warranty, Handbook,Inner Case, Outer Box and the original receipt for Goldsmiths.

Apologies for the pictures, the quality of the watch glass keeps giving dazzle."

Any ideas of what to expect here.

Thanks

Looking at the listing, I would say...

I'm 99% certain the papers are genuine
I'm undecided if the box is real or not
I'm 99% certain the rubber strap is a fake
I'm not going to guess if the watch is genuine on those pictures

When the watch arrives, check the serial number on the back matches that on the warranty. If it's different, try to get your money back immediately.

The rubber strap was probably bought (and now sold) in good faith so I wouldn't complain if it's fake. The easy way to tell is that the fakes usually have 9 holes rather than 10.

You've taken a gamble but I think that the watch will probably be real. The seller looks impeccable. Let us know the outcome.

Thanks for that, he does say the original strap comes with it, so not to worried if the rubber on is a fake.

I should receive it by tuesday so I will let you know. Fingers crossed cause my girlfriend has hit the roof I spent this on a watch, she does not understand them though, she never even heard of Breitling.

Thanks

So Wayne

Any news?

As Sharkmouth says you need to check the numbers 1st:

Top R/H number on the COSC cert should match the watch ser no. and the R/H box for ser no. in the back of the warranty booklet.

The model no. should match the L/H box in the warranty booklet.

The other numbers (perforated) are the cert and warranty booklet numbers so they won't match anything - just unique numbers.

Hope your G/F gets used to it - that's only your first - oh dear a bit of price conditioning needed me thinks :D

:welcome:
