I second WatchFreds choice. On his advise I replaced the strap with an original Breitling Brown Croc and it makes the 806 look absolutely fabulous. It goes very well with the rolled gold. See Navitimer 806 returned from Chronodeco in vintage discussion.

I've got a black shark for my Rolex GMT II-c
Got a black calf with red stitching and red trim on my 7750 Xezo.
I think the touch of red looks great with the red on my watch.

I reckon brown or honey coloured croc would work well with the bezel/ hands etc.

The only one that would look incongruous would be rubber. That'd be a definite no-no in my book. Other than that, crack on with the straps I say if you want to mix it up at bit!

Brown or black, calf or croco, really doesn't matter. They both look great on a black dial.

Leather straps do look nice, no doubt.
Breitling true colours however come out when coupled with metal.
Navi two tone bracelet is the only way to get more shine out of it.

Yes, I do agree - I am a shiny metal lover myself.
However,....

in this instance (and having seen the pic) I really do think that sharkman's advice would really look nice on this watch too :D .
