I've been waiting for a few weeks on these latest additions to make their way over here to me in Afghanistan before taking a group photo. Yesterday they were waiting on me when I returned from a temporary duty assignment out in western Afghanistan. Needless to say I was anxious to tear into the boxes and check them out, which is always the case when a new piece arrives. Today I spent some time taking pictures and thought I would share them with ya'll to see what ya'll thought.

First up was the Limited Edition Zenith Defy Xtreme which was a little difficult to shoot because the AR coating tends to tint the dial a light bluish color, but in actuality it's black/silver. Resizing the bracelet also gave me a chance to use the new Omega Toolkit that mrcheatle was so kind to put up for the photo contest. It was a bit of a challenge to figure out to be honest, but thanks to Google I was able to finally figure out the puzzle.

Next up was the long awaited arrival of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms to keep my Leman Dual Time company. I forgot to get a lume shot, but I have to say it's got one of the best lumes I've seen next to my Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine. I am absolutely thrilled with the addition of this piece and glad I chose it over a Rolex DSSD. I also really like the Sail Cloth strap, it's very comfortable and as a bonus the seller threw in a nice new after market rubber strap.

I'm hoping the AP ROO Safari will arrive next week and the Roger Dubuis Sympathie should be arriving by mid-March to complete the collection for now, but we all know how that goes.... there's always seems to be another piece to add down the road. I hope ya'll enjoy the pics as much as I did taking them and sharing them with the forum.

WOW! While the FF is fantastic, I have always been a fan of the Coral and Yellow SO...and you have both. Killer collection, enjoy.

Wow :wowzers Richard, that is quite a collection you've got there. And each is special in its own right. Do enjoy them my friend. You'll need another watch box for the upcomings though. Unless it is already on order. :)

Well, at least you have proof that the "post" is working over there. You guys are doing an amazing job and we thank you for that. Just keep out of harm's way, you hear?

Thanks Jerry, actually that is the "New" box they live in now....the other side has an additional 8 more spaces, but I can't afford to pay for anymore new occupants right now...LOL! Even though Mr. Dubuis reserved a spot in the box before Mr. Safari did, Mr. Safari will be the last new tenant for awhile. To think, just a few short years ago Mr. Colt SQ was the first to move onto the block, at least the neighborhood is improving with age.

I became a SOP fan after getting the Yellow Dial....I loved it so much I couldn't rest until I had the Coral Dial too. I would have gotten the blue dial SOP as well, but since the Colt is a blue dial and so similar, I didn't see the need.

Looks like you have all the bases covered with that watch-box! Sizes, colours, straps, bracelets, the works! Nice going!

(And yeah, the FF is spectacular).

Hard to find words for that collection. So many wonderful pieces, hard to know where to start. Like everybody else, the Fifty is a favorite. I also tried on that stainless dual register Glashutte chrono a couple of weeks ago and the feel and dimension are about perfect. Even an old Memovox and classic Datejust. Reminds me of when Altair posts pics of his collection (Been a while, hint, hint). It's tremendous, congrats and thanks for sharing.

Thank you Scott and to compare it to Altair's collection is quite a compliment, but unfortunately his waaaay out classes anything I could ever put together. He's got so many pieces that I could never hope to add, but thank you again and I'm glad you enjoyed the pics.
