More like two tons. This is by far the heaviest watch I have ever held. Personally I like the weight of it. It's definitely not steel. If it were anything other than platinum, it'd have to be tungsten or gold, with a plated surface. I don't know of any other materials that feel this dense.

The watch is real, I'm just slightly surprised that there isn't an xx/25 on the back for the LE number.

Wow, what a beautiful watch, thanks for posting pictures. I notice the St. Bernards dog head stamp on both the bracelet and case back, and the diamond stamp too. PT950 is obviously referring to platinum, 95% pure. I'm not qualified to comment re authenticity, but the thread reads very positive so far.
I am qualified however, to state that its drop dead gorgeous and overall the nicest Breitling I've seen so far. I'm seldom jealous, but yes, I'd love to own one of these.

This is indeed an authentic Breitling. The Platinum Model of the Montbrilliant Eclipse Series utilized L43330 (Platinum). Additionally, as to the issue of utilizing a Chronometer over the regular Breitling Automatic, Breitling did indeed use the Chronometer on the following model numbers: L43330 (Platinum) and A43330 (Stainless Steel). These watches used higher end movements than the regular Montbrilliant Eclipse series and are therefore more rare.

Your watch is indeed a beautiful example of a very rare model. I would suggest taking the watch to a local jeweler who is an authorized Breitling Dealer and ask them for a Retail Appraisal for Insurance Purposes. I have done this with all my watches and have them covered under a personal articles insurance policy.

Movement is identical, only difference is the submission to COSC for certification.
