Beater is an at least 23-year old Seiko Sports 100 quartz. Runs fine, still decent shape, wear it golfing or if the work is not too heavy. For heavy outdoor work I take it off. It's the watch my wife gave me our first Christmas when we didn't have $100 to spare but she talked the jeweler down to $80 and bought it for me anyway. Thinking about retiring it from beater duty, as it does have sentimental value. Thinking about a Swiss Army Divemaster 500. They can be had in quartz or automatic, though for my purposes, quartz would be best.

The daily Breitling is, sadly, the only one I have right now but happily, my black Headwind, pictured at various places on the site.

I wear the GMTIIc every day. The only time I wear a beater is when I go to the gym, and its a G-Shock DW-6900R. Everything else gets neglected.

Daily wear is Navitimer World black face.

Beater is Timex T77761 Expedition Chrono Alarm Timer.

It can also keep Zulu time, and has a chronograph function, so it does what I need for aviation.

White Faced CSO for daily use and my beater is my Casio Pathfinder PAW-2000. World time, solar power, daily atomic updates, light up screen, alarms etc... can't "beat" it... for a beater I do have a G Shock that I use primarily for water or ATV-ing (when I get the chance)

My daily beater received as a high school graduation gift from my parents. Did a tour in Vietnam with me. Spent the next 30 years in a drawer until I had it serviced by a Bulova specialist a few years ago.

It's cool to have a watch with a story. I still have the watch I was wearing during my tour in Iraq in 2003. Sadly, like yours, it spends its time in a drawer now.

Why do people wear a different watch at the gym? I always wear the Breitling.

Beater, like many on here, is a G-Shock, a GW2000 (I couldn't cope with digital G-Shock)

Not daily but the most regular B is, of course, the Shark

Just as an update for the OP, should he see this again (old thread) do get the Luminox. Really enjoying the blackout version I bought a week ago. It's frankly wearable for more than just a beater, and a great size.

I use the stopwatch after every set, so a gshock is perfect. Also, I constantly bang my wrist into machines and stuff, so its better left at home. It wouldnt be a big deal if I wore it by mistake though.

Well my beater (works equally well traveling or playing a round of golf) is a Casio Skymaster eco drive titanium Blue Angels. My daily Breitling is my Steelfish on black OR w/Clasp. I dress it up for special occasions with the Bracelet. Sadly I really like my SOP but just don't wear it. :(
