I had a similar shopping experience to Sharkman-when I went to the AD I was interested in the CSO but they suggested a larger watch. Ended up buying the CSO, which was a better size for me.

So my vote: 42mm!

I'm wondering if I'm going to end up doing the same as Pieterman.

Thanks for all input. It seems there was a slight majority for the 42mm but what I ended up with is black/black in 46 with mesh bracelet! I have to give the salespeople credit for their patience as I waffled back and forth for 2 hours between the two sizes. I really felt I owed them I drink. lol I was definitely leaning towards the smaller 42 as it felt more comfortable. The majority of the sales staff was saying my wrist supported the 46 better (and since there wasn't a price difference I felt they had nothing to gain in selling the 46). They also threw in a black leather strap and Breitling baseball cap.

Two things swayed me towards bigger watch in the end: 1 - a sales woman was saying she thought the 42mm looked more 'distinguished' and 'elegant' and suited my personality better. When she asked what I did for work and I said was creative director for advertising she quickly switched and said 'oh, go for the 46 then.. i thought you were in finance" lol and 2 - this was a gift and the person buying me the gift was there and said the decision was of course up to me but they thought the bigger did fit my wrist a bit better. So I felt maybe to go with the giver of the gift suggestion.

I love the watch... i'm pretty much use to the bigger size but still adjusting to the weight. I was never a watch wearer so maybe it'll just take time. And the mesh bracelet reminds me of the show 'Madmen" a bit so maybe it is right for my profession. :D

Thanks again for input... love this site and I'm totally into these Breitlings. I'm attaching shot of it on my arm as I'm working from home today. :)

The 46mm looks very good on your wrist size. You made the right choice!

Thanks Huttfuzz. I've caught the Breitling bug and would love to snag a Navitimer or Montbrillant 01 sometime in future! :)
