@Montexn - AFAIK, none of the ROO's have any lume. It's certainly odd, but personally, lume is neither here nor there for me. Sure, I appreciate it if a watch's lume is particularly good, but it's a just a novelty value to me. I'll look at at the lume once of twice when I first get it, but that's it. A lack of lume would never be a show-stopper for me. But then that is just me. :)

:huh :huh :huh :huh WHAT are you talking about they don't have lume??

Awesome Lume shot Serge, I read that the ROO Volcano and Safari do not have lumes and one of the sellers I spoke to said the same thing. I kind of figured the Black Themes you had was lumed though and thank you for sharing that pic.

Black Themes w/ in-house and the lume. Sell it to me when you are done with it, if my dick wrists don't prevent such a watch from fitting :)

:huh :huh :huh :huh WHAT are you talking about they don't have lume?? I don't know about the other ROO lumes but I know for sure that 'none of the ROOs have any lume' is incorrect.

Oops, I stand corrected. That's kind of why I said "AFAIK" - and I guess I clearly didn't know enough! If I'm honest I've only physically handled a couple myself - and neither of those had lume. I also couldn't recall seeing any ROO lume pics off the top of my head.

Apologies for the duff info Montexn! Consider me suitably slapped into place!

None need Driver, however I was able to confirm the Volcano and the Safari do not have lume. The Volcano seller went so far as to try to get some lume shots of it and called me to let me know it did not lume in the dark. Not a big issue, but I assumed it was lumed when I tried it on and never once thought to look because I was so mesmerized with it...DOH!

I love the Safari but the lack of lume would be a deal breaker for me. I'd be pretty pissed if I couldn't tell the time on my $15k+\- watch because it was dark. I understand not having lume on a pure dress watch, but on something called the Royal Oak Offshore I think it should be standard. Offshore makes me think of being on a boat, are you supposed to rely on the friggin moon to make your watch visible? It's like having a dive watch without a lume pip on the bezel.

Does anyone know if the Panda has lume? I gotta line up my purchases for when I win the lottery.

Kind of the same way I feel Roman, although I'm not sure if the Panda model has lume. Their dive watches look sharp and are lumed, but not sure if they are in-house movements. As much as I like these 2 models (Volcano & Safari) I'm still on the fence as to which one to get if I do decide to get one.

Justin, if I could find a deal on the in-house movement Black Themes I might actually consider it over the other models. I've just not been able to locate one yet. I think I may hold off until I find the right deal since this will represent such a large investment no matter which model I finally decide on.

The new ROO Diver is an inhouse 3120 movement.

Well after much internal debate and scouring the net, I've finally settled on the Safari over the Volcano. The lack of any lume is still a little bit of a bummer, but was not a deal breaker. Although I really liked them both equally well, I chose the Safari over the Volcano for it's more conservative appeal and the fact it would appeal to a broader market if I ever needed to sell it. Maybe I'll be in a position down the road to add another AP to the collection such as a diver or one of the other ROO themes, but for now this will be the crown jewel of my collection for some time to come.

Beautiful piece, and clearly thought-out. Congrats on your new crown jewel, but forgive me if I consider that gold GO right up there with it.

Thanks gentlemen and Scott I would agree with you...the gold GO and the gold Blancpain rank right up there at the top for sure, at least for the moment anyhow. Now if only I was rich I would also get that gold Breguet  Serge you were right...that is the one I want to get, but sheesh too many at one time and limited funds.

Oh yeah...I was looking that new AP Diver over and drooling all over my keyboard too....doubt it will be anytime soon another AP joins the ranks of my collection though.

I have an AP Diver and I was able to get a great deal on it as a pre owned. As people have stated, if you can find the one you want preowned, then that's the way to go! I have also owned a AP ROO Safari on a brown horn back and bracelet, both of which are much less comfortable than the rubber tang I have on my Diver. I also have a 7.25" wrist do keep that in mind when choosing!
