A New colt chronograph popped up in the gallery recently and imo it was smoking. So much so i am seriously thinking about picking one up. I am in the market for a SQ and this fits the bill perfect. Only problem is the price. 3250 euro plus. Thats a real downer. Guess I ll have to keep am eye on the sales corner!

I just saw the new Colt's today in person and that aren't nearly as bad in person, as they are on the Breitling website. The chronograph really looked good. Also, the bracelet was really nice.

The old style colt was the first Breitling I owned, and as with many people I'm sure, it introduced me to the world of Breitling at a very reasonable price. I won't sell that watch simply because it holds that memory for me. But these new Colts, and quite a few others in the 2011 lineup are not what I like about Breitling. And these new colts are a monstrosity in my opinion. There is NOTHING about them that appeals. They look clumsy, poorly designed, too big and the bezel and numbering is just horrible. If they were my introduction to Breitling, I would not have got on board with the brand. I hope that 2012 brings a reigning in of these ridiculous watches.

Went to the AD today just to take a look on the new Colt 44, they have the black and the blue one, both with the new bracelet.
I was interested on them the first time I saw them on the net, and looking at them in metal, trying both on my wrist.... I must say that now I have a problem... I need to choose between the blue or the black! =b
They are the right watch to pick and go, for daily use, and for me they look really good!

Did the 44 wear a bit on the small side? I am seriously thinking about one for my wife. Obviously I don't think they are the anti-christ like some here. I like it more and more everytime I see it.

It looks smaller on the wrist, cause now the bracelet has an articulated end.
The pin that holds the bracelet to the case is now the first articulation, as is on most newer bracelets, even on the Chronomat B01 44 and so on. This makes the watch look smaller when wearing it.
It looked way smaller than the Skyland I was wearing, but still is pretty nice, I will definitely get one!

Here is my wife's Colt 33. It feels totally different to me that the one pictured at the top of this thread.

like this one in picture above i think the lighter face brings the watch together, but not the one in the OP i think the black face is making it look far to stumpy

The new TAG F1 line. Does anyone notice a mild similarity?

No doubt. One of the biggest criticisms leveled at the new Colt line from the day the first pictures were released was that it looks too much like a TAG, and not enough like a Breitling.

I would take that Tag over the new Colt anytime. Not even close.

Well, it seems Breitling have created a true polarising watch with the new Colt.

However, as Fear says "Beautiful sells, Ugly sells. Everything in between gets forgotten."

The styling doesn't concern me. It's the fact that there is no auto model. Perhaps this would have pushed the price higher than the "entry level" timepiece Breitling were aiming for.
