Really? I said given or wore. It was given and after I told him, he continued to wear it.
I felt he was not trustworthy after that. He was a preacher and he lied by wearing it.IMHO

That's a tough one. I'm a Christian, and if someone gave me a fake (not knowingly) I would wear it in front of them and not tell them it's a fake. Now on the other hand, that's not the concern, in your situation I would not wear that watch. I would take it apart and do a tear down video or learn how to service an automatic. (given that it's not a quartz) If it is, I would smash it so no one would have to wear that again

And to add more fuel to the fire, wearing a homeage is just as stoopid as wearing a fake watch. People who wear a homeage may be even stoooopider than people who wear a fake watch. Yea, that's directed to all your Steinhart lovers and Pam Homeage fruitscakes.

I don't own any homages myself, but I still totally disagree with the above statement.

But as always, each to their own opinions.......

hes got a point. whats up with homeages??? for some reason people just accept it as a tribute to the brand? sounds gay to me. i would rather acknowledge and admire a brand i like by owning it. not by purchasing something thats made to look like it.

I'm amazed people think that wearing an homage is worse than wearing a fake?? I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.....

Yes I agree that it's totally up to the individual with whatever they want to wear - that part doesn't bother me at all. What does bother me about fakes is that in order to wear one, you have to buy one, and by buying one you are supporting an illegal industry that can, and indeed regularly does, rip people off. All the people out there who lose money by buying a watch in good faith only for it to turn out to be fake, wouldn't lose their money if there was no fake watch industry. By buying a fake, people are supporting the proliferation of that situation. I don't want to be a part of that.

Anyway as others have said, the topic of wearing fakes has been done to death on here, so I think I'll leave my contribution there.

I don't get why it outrages some people if they see others wearing replicas. If it doesn't bother the person wearing it...then nothing else matters. I personally could never wear one, but MOST of the people I know don't give a crap about watches...especially higher end timepieces. Hell, many of them don't wear a watch at all.

IMO pointing out a fake to someone else would likely only accomplish 2 things...it would make the wearer of the fake feel belittled, and would make me look like an elitist.

Now...if we are talking about a situation where someone is trying to sell a replica AS IF IT WERE AUTHENTIC then that is a totally different story, and I would definitely speak up...that just sickens me.

I wonder how many threads on this site are about people wearing fakes or homages.

Personally I don't give a damn what anyone is wearing. I used to wear fake Tags when I was in High School, I even flipped them for a profit, I don't think that makes me an evil person who's going to spend eternity in damnation. And of course I told the people I was selling them to that they were fakes.

The only people I don't like seeing wear fakes are salespeople. I was in Nassau and the dude selling AP's was wearing a fake Hublot, now that was just gay.

With forearms like that I would have kept a bunch of watches I loved except for the size deal.

There's one thing left to do then: follow a strict spinach diet. :nana:

Wait, so now watches also give an indication of sexual orientation? OK, time to sell the Miss Pasha homage.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
