This is a RENATO WILDEBEAST limited edition 1/40 Quartz. My wife bought it as an XMAS present. What do you think of it. Be Kind!!!!!!!Image

Gentlemen I stand corrected. I finally forced myself to read the manual and discovered that the watch is automatic and uses a swiss ETA G10.711 movement. I miss quoted saying it was quartz. At least I feel a little better. It's called the RENATO GRAND DIVER ATM>

I agree, if my wife had gone out and gotten it for me, I would love it. I think it is an awesome gesture on her part and shows she respects your hobby. She may of wanted to do more, but was financially unable and she most likely is not as WIS educated, but the fact that she put some thought into really getting you something she thought you would appreciate is awesome. Yeah it's not a Ling or a myriad of other brands you or I would rather have, but because it was something my wife gave me because she respects and loves me would make it priceless in my book.

From an objective viewpoint, the dial layout is not a total turn-off, but it does not appeal to me either. I think the part that I don't care for is the date window and the thick gold trim around the subdials. The bezel reminds me of the IWC Aquatimer, which is not a bad thing. I like the large lume hour indicators and the color scheme is ok. All in all I think it's ok, but not something I would purchase for myself, but coming from my wife would be the most special part of it. Congrats on the piece and having a special lady, wear it in good health.

I don't hate it, I'd like it a hell of a lot more if the bezel was lined up.
