Very interesting watch. Wear it proudly. I have a couple Philippe Charriol watches that are different. One is the vintage Aztec and the other is the Diablo that was made for Lamborghini. I wear both of them accasionally!!

The case design is very similar to some of the 60's Omegas... particularly the Flightmasters and such... can't say it's my cup of tea cruvon but nevertheless it is unique... who cares what others say... wear it if you got it!

Nothing to do with the watch per se, but:

It took a while, but it finally came to me what that shape reminded me of -- some filled chocolate candies I used to get occasionally, years ago.

Lol, reminds me of the same, are you talking some of the assorted chocs in "Mcintosh Quality Street"? Not sure if you used to get them in the US but the UK crowd should know for sure:)

Sorry, I just don't remember, it's been too long.

No worries, am sure they must have been tasty!

I love it. Loads of designs in watches, clothing and furniture are delving back into the late 60s and early 70s. That's the genuine article. I'm jealous. Forget the naysayers and wear it with pride!

I totally agree with you, Nov! A very similar case design is currently being used by Zinex on one of their vintage-style divers, the DSR 500........ which I happen to like a lot.

Thanks..just did a search of the DSR 500, nice!

Thanks. Haven't seen the Aztec but the Diablo is surely a beautiful watch, there were only 1000 made right? What movement did they sport?

Thanks, true is a polarizing love or hate look:). Yes, saw those 60's Omegas, guess a lot of space inspired watches back then:)

Just found an example of one

Cruvon

The Diablo is automatic {not sure of the movement]. My watch is 984/1000 which is engraved in the side of the case. The Aztec has a 18k raised case resembling a Mayan pyramid with a moon phase and is automatic. Very rare and beautiful watch. I have owned it for many years and it keeps great time!Image

Enjoy Rick

That is quite a find Cruvon, although it really does not appeal to me, it's a cool nostalgic piece. I was just wondering where the crown is, I don't see one in the pics, just curious how the heck you adjust the time.

As for the Diablo, love that dial and complications...very classy looking piece Rick.

Thanks Montexn, true is a watch with polarizing opinion and not to everyone's taste, am loving it's modernist design. Here is Pierre Cardins secret crown revealed in the picture;), quite easy to use!

It's not that bad to wind since is quite spacey there. Yupz, is the original leather strap. Have been looking for a spare or even a replica to save this one but can't find one. Did try a 20mm NATO I have, think a 22mm NATO will go just fine. Or I might have to custom make one.

or might have got moulded into the metal when the spacecraft to the moon sat on a small little crater;) but I like the alien story better, what if there are green men inside it...was inspired by space pursuits of the 60's for sure!
