Isn't it like $15k or some ridiculous amount?

If you're referring to the Omega, no. Authenticwatches.com shows retail at $9300. I saw one at my AD over the summer, and my best recollection is the tag showed a price of around $8k, give or take, but there's been a price increase since then. It's an LE, so I don't know how availability might affect aftermarket value, or even if it's still available on the primary market.

EDIT: oops...that's what I get for hitting "Quote" without finishing the thread. Just saw that you answered it yourself.

I like the metorite material for what it is, but I just can't warm to watches that use it as a dial material. I've seen some watches that use it quite sparingly in a couple of places on the dial and that works OK IMO, but full metorite dials just look too busy and "untidy" to me.

The first meteorite dial I ever saw was on a $100.00 Skagen...I can't see Rolex charging $4,000.00 for that dial.
And Invicta has a couple of them for under $1,000.00

I'm with Jackson, too much $$ though. One of these days I am going to like something Rolex does better than something similar by someone else. Maybe when my hair turns grey....
