I haven't been through this process myself, but I remember reading in the ebay info that you can choose either the ebay resolution process, or the PayPal process. Once you choose one, you may not use the other.

It would seem that there should be a place to make your choice.

If he's opened a "case" in ebay, there should be a place for you to access that.

if you open a case with (for example) Ebay first , and Ebay decides against you, you can always use the charge back process with your CC company IF you used your CC (Credit Card) to make the payment through paypal . Your CC company then immediately makes a chargeback against paypal and deposits the money back to you.

Sadly I have had to use this option myself a few times.

Drawback is that your CC company , in my case, requirers a written statement by a watchmaker detailing why the watch is fake/replica/frankenwatch AND want to have confirmation that you returned the watch to the seller (Fedex/DHL etc delivery note) before they let you keep your money.

All in all it for me it was worth the effort

If you open a case with paypal first and they decide against you , you still have the option to use the 'chargeback' throuhg your CC company. Using this 'chargeback' had no negative effect on my paypal account

I raised it with PayPal since the local Ebay does not support the feature the .com site has for instance. Paypal gives you I think 20 days to sort it out with the seller. In my case I agreed to send it back and the package arrived today. Within a few hours the seller returned the $$ back into my account!!

I never had any good reason to doubt this seller but it always feels good the have it save in your account.

Again thanks to everyone who replied to this topic.

So lets see if there are any affortable vintage Breitlings out there.....

Glad it worked out like Ithought it would. there are several authentic Datoras for sale on ebay at the moment, though you will have to find them yourself, but we will be happy to verify them for you.
