Not crass at all, and given what you have been through no one has any right to criticise your decision making process.

Totally agree. And if the watch ends up having even more special meaning, then that's even better. (And the 275 IS an abolsutely stunning piece BTW! )

Dear Ricardo,

I was really very sorry to read about this nightmare for you and your family. I am really pleased that your Father is out of the scary phase and starting on the long road to recovery (one day at a time). For some unknown reason, I seem to be the one who has to make those 2am phone calls and that's a real bummer (honoured to be asked to make them but still not a very nice thing to have to do).

I'm a firm believer in things being a reminder of experiences Ricardo - I do really hope that this lovely watch will act as a nice reminder of these special times as your Father continues on his recovery.

Have a lovely Xmas and all the very best wishes for 2012.

Thank You for Your kind words KMG.

I'm not sure what was more traumatic, receiving the initial call from my Mum or having to ring my two Sisters with the terrible news.

Of course I read your post to the end Rick because your posts have always been at least interesting and when you post something you always have something serious to say. This time your post literally pinned me down. Having had some bad news lately, I said to myself "not again". So, when your story had some promising news for your father, I thought not all is bad after all. And even if the situation is not one of the best, you still have your father with you and I'm sure he'll do his best to share at the best of his ability these Christmas moments with you and your family. And that is something you must cherish.

I wish you the merriest Christmas possible and look forward to your next post.

As for the new acquisition, even if it might sound irrelevant, we're all human beings after all and that was your way out of this. And your father proved you right.
