I would love to expand my collection in 2012, although I told my wife that in 2010 (when I got my CSO) that I wasn't getting another nice watch until 2015... well this past year I purchased my Omega and I think I may actually have to hold off for another year or two to expand any further... I guess with two little girls at home I should be saving for... everything!! I will continue to happily live through all of your pickups in 2012.

If all goes well with my watch repair "business," I hope to acquire my first watch next year! Maybe a nice Christmas present? Definitely a purchase closer to the end of the year, BUT I'd love to be seeing a Breguet Marine Big Date on my wrist this time next year :D

No watches for me in 2012, in retrospect I've done well to get where I am with watch collecting all things considered, and am content for the present. Honestly.
Theres one or two on my 'favourite / reasonably priced' list still, but I will try not to let them pervade my thoughts too much. I'll have to immerse myself in other projects.
My son and his lass are recently engaged, so theres a wedding not far off which Bank of Dad will be assisting with, and theres a lot to sort with the house...stuff I've put off too long already.
Then theres the pre-owned but immaculate Beretta S06 for sale that winks at me every time I go to my shooting club. Don't tell the wife, but I have already discussed terms with the seller...I could see myself pulling the trigger (sorry) on this in Feb if its still available. Then theres the RIB my wife wants to get for the summer....
All assuming of course, that I continue to enjoy an income this year.

I'd like to somehow get back to three watches in 2012. May or may not happen, but at the moment I really feel the need for an IWC, the first IWC Cousteau Divers (blue/orange) or maybe a GST chrono with the silver dial and gold hands/markers. I still need to see Shark's silver chronomatic in the metal as I like the Navi functionality with a lower profile on the wrist. I still would love to own a Glashutte Original Panomatic but that's probably out of budget, short term. And I'm sure there are four or five others out there I haven't even thought about yet. Such is the sickness. Happy New Year!

I spent today figuring out personal / business money with my company accountant ahead of year end so now have a better idea of whatt he budget might be. I'm thinking at this point that I might wait for Basel, definitely SIHH, but I am actually thinking that there may only be one or two in house watches next year, and maybe a 'weird' watch or two. I have a couple of ideas, but no solid short list.

That said, Artya is a favourite in the weird category - have been looking at these for a while and am really tempted - http://artya.luxuryartpieces.com/

I don't expect many people to understand

as long as you don't get a kiss collection...I will understand! Happy new year!
